As you can see, the December jobs total is a little less than December 2009. From the above data table, peak employment occurs each year in roughly November and December and July and August are the lowest. Eyeballing the above data table, the area might lose 3,000 to 6,000 jobs between now and the summer. Unless economic growth picks up locally. Also, the above table excludes the self employed, sole proprietors and active duty military.
