I had a funny thought.

And here is a chart showing how local promoters would push the story, and how the local media would likely copy their press release:

Obviously, things look great now! Nothing to worry about anymore!

    This graph is hilarious. Well done. Most TV reporters don’t know enough math to intelligently analyze the data. They just regurgitate whatever they’re handed by the board of realtors and the chamber of commerce. The S-R, on the other hand, does it intentionally.

    TV reporters are taught that numbers are forbidden in TV news reports, I think.

    I just put up the unemployment report and have tried to do a pre-emptive strike – the drop in unemployment will be reported incorrectly that it proves the Spokane recession is over, even though it is the standard, March to April drop in unemployment that happens every year.
